Citric acid is a naturally occurring acid in may citrus fruits and shows up in very small amount in wine. Citric acid can be added to wines to adjust their acidity. Although not the most common acid test performed on wines, knowing this value is important if you maybe added too much citric acid to your wine and your wine is tart.
