    Dear Vinmetrica,
Could you assist me with my query?
I am after obtaining a Vinmetrica SC-300, but sadly, I cannot find a distributor in the UK / London.
I belong to a FB group “Home Winemaking” that Daniel Pambianchi manages. In one of his articles, I asked him if he could help me find a contact who would be willing to ship it to the UK.
I told him that I was looking at ordering via Vinmetrica, but it only gives you the option for Canada and the US. He kindly wrote back to me, telling me to get in touch with Rich or Taylor, as these two people are very helpful. I hope I am writing to the right department, and Rich and Taylor have visibility in reading my email.
    I await your reply,
    Kind regards,
    Korehan Dora

  2. Hy, I have an SC-300 but my reagents for SO2 are finished, I am in Mexico City, how can I do to obtain from you a new set, or better how can I prepare the reagents (I am a chemist) because I had a lot of problems to import other kits in the past from USA.

    Thanks

    Juan Ustaran

    1. Juan,

We have sent you an email.

  3. Hi. I have a Vinmetrica SC 300 and used to get my reagents from your ex distributor.

Would you please let me know exactly what the chemicals are, and strength, so I can try to source from a local chemical supply company.

    Many thanks

    1. William, for the pH function you can use pH 4.0 and pH 7.0 reference solutions for calibration; these should be readily available in most countries. For TA titration you can use 0.10 N or 0.20 N NaOH (sodium hydroxide) which should also be available easily. Note that our TA Titrant is 0.133 N so if you use 0.10 or 0.20 N you can’t employ the simple equation listed at the end of the procedure (TA = 2 * V) in the manual. You will need to use the longer equation listed above it and replace the 0.133N with the concentration of the NaOH solution that you have.
For SO2 titration you can use 0.020 N iodine/iodide as SO2 Titrant and 2M HCl or 2M H2SO4 as Acid solution. These are usually available in most countries. If you use the iodine/iodide then you do not need an SO2 Reactant. Again you will need to adjust your calculations because our SO2 Titrant is 0.0156N in iodine equivalence.

  4. Hi is it possible to ship the sc-300 kit WITHOUT the chemicals to Australia, I should be able to get the “dangerous Goods” components locally. and if so what do you estimate the shipping cost. Thank you

    1. David,
Yes. We can ship to Australia and omit the “dangerous goods” so you can source it locally.

I am going to email you separately so I can get your shipping address and look in to this more for you.

  5. Hi Team – I need fresh reagent supplies and live in Malta. Can you provide a name of a Distributor in the UK pls ?

    Many thanks

    Victor

    1. Victor,
Unfortunately we do not have a distributor in the UK but we do have other distributors in Europe that might be able to help you. Have you tried Brouwland in Belgium? Or Vinometric in Denmark?
      Taylor

  6. Browland in Belgium are NOT shipping to the UK. I need reagents for the Vinmetrica kit for SO2 and Total Acid. Do you have a UK distributor yet? Please advise.

    1. Liz,
We have sent you an email.

  7. I need a new probe for my sc100A-100a cost of the probe $ 62 bucks shipping to New Zealand @$230 so i am wondering if that is the correct amount?

    1. Paul,
Are you sure you need a new SO2 probe? Most of the time they just need to be cleaned. Check out our troubleshooting guide for information on how to do that. But if you do need or want a new probe we can look in to cheaper shipping options for you. We would just need your shipping address. You can email info@vinmetrica.com.

  8. GOOD DAY! MY NAME IS PACIENTE R. DANDAN FROM PHILIPPINES. DO YOU HAVE DISTRIBUTOR HERE IN THE PHILIPPPINES? DO YOU HAVE DISTRIBUTORS IN THE SOUTHEAST ASIA THAT CAN CATER OR ACCOMMODATE MY ORDER? 1. Paciente,
We do not have a distributor in the Philippines. IF you want to email, info@vinmetrica.com, with you order and your address I can look in to shipping for you.

  9. In Italia non ci sono rivenditori?

    1. We do not have any distributors in Italy but we do have other distributors in Europe.

Let me know if you have other questions

  10. I heard that Winequip in Australia no longer sells your products, since the departure of Rebecca Hellweg to the Della Toffola Division of the Beverage Food Group. Is that correct?

    1. Zenon,
Thank you for contacting us. They have not officially “cancelled” their distributor relationship with us but it has been quite some time since they ordered from us. We typically update our distributor list in the beginning of the year so we will be contacting them here soon.

You can always order directly from our website or if you want to speak to someone about your order prior to ordering you can email tlikins@vinmetrica.com .

Thank you and let us know if you have any other questions.

      1. Hi I’m in Melbourne Australia so who sells your SC300 kit here? Also are you still looking for a distributor? If so what are your expectations from a distributor?

        1. Hi Ray!
We are still trying to get a distributor in Australia and have been talking with two people but it has been a slow process. Our distributor expectations are fairly simple and straightforward. Do you know a company that may want to distribute our products? We would be happy to share our distribution information with you or them.
Let me know. We look forward to speaking with you further.
          Taylor
