Firmware Upgrade and Electrode Test/Inspection Service

For older model SC-100A, SC-200 and SC-300 instruments with their original firmware, this service includes the installation of the latest version of the firmware and a final test of the instrument to ensure the firmware installed correctly plus electrode inspection and test. Customer is responsible for all shipping charges, both inbound and outbound. Outbound shipping will be billed upon completion of work.

Description

For older model SC-100A, SC-200 and SC-300 instruments with their original firmware, this service includes the installation of the latest version of the firmware and a test of the instrument to ensure the firmware installed correctly using your provided electrode(s). Our technicians will also do a quick visual inspection of the circuit board and perform any cleaning and maintenance necessary for the SO2 and/or pH electrode. We recommend this service to all older versions of our instruments. This service provides updates in the test mode of your instrument and will not affect the functionality and methods for testing. These updates provide crucial data enhancements and basic but necessary maintenance of the electrodes. This service may help prolong the life of your instrument and electrodes.

Current firmware versions are:

SC-100A: 1.1.2 (1.2.d for newer models since 2017)

SC-200: 2.1.4 (2.2.F for newer models since 2015)

SC-300: 3.1.4 (3.2.F for newer models since 2015)

To find out which firmware version your instrument has, you will need to enter into Test Mode on your device. To do this, simply hold the power button down for 2-3 seconds until a number like the ones listed above shows up. [This is also described in Appendix A of your manual.] That number is your firmware version. If you continue to hold the power button the instrument will turn itself off.
